This project was a major remodel of a private residence in Tiburon, California originally designed in 1963. Sitting at the edge of the bay literally at the water’s edge; all of the interior spaces in the house are oriented towards the bay  with sweeping views for miles beyond. We worked carefully with the original structure  creating elements both sympathetic to the original design with modern upgrades. We took this project down to studs, replaced all of the doors, windows, roof, the deck, kitchen, and bathrooms, with attention to detail from hardware to casework and lighting creating an environment with total design continuity. We extended the floor and ceiling materials through the planes of glass, emphasizing the connection between the the interior and the exterior, which effectively extended the interior space.
